The fall season brings many things to be joyful about such as beautiful colors, pumpkin spiced lattes, wonderful scents...but the downfall of the colder season is dry skin and dry hair!
Keeping your hair healthy for the fall and winter seasons is rather important to keeping hair shiny and soft. You may have to switch out products and drink more water. Some key reminders are, never go from cold temperatures to hot temperatures quickly, and vice versa.  Conditioners are so imporant, if it leaves your hair feeling greasy or flat, then you are not using the right one! When your hands are dry, you put lotion on them right? So why not do the same for your beautiful locks?
Leave in conditioners and creams are a great way to stay moist! Refrain from hot, hot water, causing your hair to dry out more!

Besides from just an unpleasant feeling, another downside to dry hair, is the color fading out. Dry=damaged. Damaged hair means damaged cuticles. If the cuticle is too damaged, then the dye molecules will gradually (sometimes even quickly) wash out. Keep up on your hair cuts, moisturize, and keep your hair covered under a hat when going outside in the cold!
Breakage is another unfortunate side effect of dry hair. It's like straw; when the straw gets to dry, it becomes very brittle and snaps in half. If you like your long hair, you need to keep up with the mainenance.

Have you heard people talking about a GK Hair Taming System? It's not the same as a Brazilian Blow Out, or a Chi Straightening System.

A GK Hair Taming System is designed to remove frizz from your hair, it does not remove all curl on extremely curly hair, however it can remove up to 80% of the curl, and make your hair much easier to do in the morning. If you want to keep your curl, there is a GK treatment that can be used just to remove the frizz.

If you spend over an hour on your hair just to straighten your hair or even just to make it manageable, a GK treatment is for you. You don't have to have curly hair to get a GK!!

If your hair keeps fading, you can get a GK to seal in your color to prevent it from looking drab.

The GK Taming System has made several peoples lives easier every day! It can last up to 5 months!!

The GK Taming System is NOT a relaxer.  In fact if you are thinking about getting a relaxer, try a GK first! A relaxer damages the hair and gives the hair a rough brittle feeling, where as a GK does the opposite, making your hair feel so good!

This service is higher in cost due to the cost of product, and the time it takes. If you want to have  GK done on your hair, you need to allow your self a couple of hours, depending on how long, and thick your hair is. The process requires the hair to be flat ironed to seal the hair shaft, but after 48 hours you can wash and style your hair how ever you want!

Juvexin is the main ingredient that is a "special blend of proteins and peptides optimized specifically for hair." GK is the on;y company that uses Juvexin in its' products.

This question is asked alot. The answer is based solely on if you want to grow it out or if you like your length, and how fast your hair grows. The best answer is every 4-6 weeks if you like your length. Hair grows an average of 1/2" a month. Depending on medicine, diet, age, health, and the condition of your hair affect the growth.

If you are trying to grow out your hair, a trim every 2 to 3 months is healthy, if you don't do alot with your hair, meaning not coloring it alot, using a thermal protectant, and using the right products including shampoo and conditioner. If it's been over a year since your last haircut, your hair is crying out for it. Split ends are a hairs worse enemy. If you see white bulbs at the end of your hair, then you have them. These will cause your hair to break further and further up the hair shaft, backfiring your plan to grow out your hair. Eventually you hair ends up appearing to not grow, but really your hair is breaking off.

Talk to your stylist about how often you need a hair cut. Don't hesitate to ask for just a little bit off at a time if you do want to grow your hair out.
